This is their fourth full-length album, and the guest drummer is Ahito Inazawa (ex. Featuring NUMBER GIRL / VOLA & THE ORIENTAL MACHINE), violinist Jun Momose, and bassist Itsuki Kobayashi (JitteryJackal / ex. TAMTAM), the album contains 10 new songs, including 3 band sounds and 7 track bass tracks.
The essence of the alternative rock that was at the core of their musicality up to that point was densely output through Ahito Inazawa's drumming, and the powerful melodies produced by producer Ogawa Koichi "Colors" and "Freak" present a new sound image of the band's goodnight hologram, as the two members, who have a strong vocal texture but have dramatically improved their level as singers on this album, sing with dignity. The disco-punk song "The End of the World" features lyrics that evoke a scene of the end of the world, with the euphoric violin of Jun Momose adding color and elegance, yet heartbreakingly. Beginning with sampled guitars and heavy traps reminiscent of lil peep, the up-and-coming American charismatic rapper who died last year at the young age of 21, "Angel" takes you to the deepest depths of sentimentality as the song progresses, becoming the longest, most epic ballad in the history of his career The album concludes with a fitting conclusion to the story world of this work.
While eager to break new ground, August-chan and Kanamiru have shown decisive growth as artists with this album.
